  Safeway has always been my first choice in the neighbourhood, but since Sobey's bought them out, prices have increased (some items over a dollar more expensive) and the meat section has very little if any bulk packaging (family size). And the elimination of that extra hour (open till 10pm instead of 11pm) makes a difference, especially considering #NoFrills is also just a block away (but they close @ 9pm).

  Fairly standard midsized Safeway. The produce and meat where fresh and the selection very good. As is standard for Safeway prices were a bit higher than some competitors but the quality of the fresh stuff better.

  I had to use the pharmacy for an emergency prescription refill and the pharmist was extremely helpful with getting this done properly and quickly

  Easy in and out, the manager seems really unapproachable, but most staff are helpful. Lots of issues with pan handlers in the parking lot, that part sucks.

  But there are good deal finds when you look around. I wish they had a bigger meat section and bakery.
