  One star is too high a rating! Do NOT order a custom cake from this location. I had a cake made recently and it was awful. I had to return to the store 3 times to order the cake for a variety of reasons - staff inability to understand how to use the printing machine, printing machine unable to read my USB memory stick, etc. Each time I returned my order form had disappeared and they had no record of anything so I had to start from the beginning. I even provided a print out of the layout I wanted on the cake and what cake/filling/icing I want and requested that it be attached to my order form for reference and that also disappeared. I ended up getting a cake that had the edible icing paper on it clearly torn several inches through it. To make matters worse, once we cut into the cake it became apparent they screwed up that as well. I ordered (THREE TIMES and provided the info in writing as well!) a white cake with lemon filling and white buttercream but I got a marble cake with lemon filling and white buttercream. EW! Not only was the cake a disaster but the order process was ridiculous and unprofessional. I will never order from this Safeway location again. BEWARE!

  I love getting sandwiches and sushi boats here. They're very friendly and helpful when you need but it usually super easy to find your way around this safeway.

  Even though prices are higher than most, giving 5 stars for this location after I drove across the city from the River East location because the cake decorator there refused to make my cake because she “still need to take her break.” The ladies at this location happily and quickly got my costume photo printed cake done in less than 15 minutes. Worth the drive for good service.
