It certainly is important to find someone that clicks with you for sure.

I have had an injury that had taken nearly 6months now to heal. With multiple scans and tests done--although physiotherapy was a slow road to recovery i have realized it was the best avenue! It is hard to see that when the pain is so intense in the beginning. And exercise is difficulct and painful at first. It really is vital to not give up and keep communicatin with your support team of docs and therapists. I looked for so many quick fixes until I became determined to focus on the physiotherapy and was diligent with them at home as well. It is important to keep things up at home--even if it does feel annoying at times. I am happy to be in much better condition today. But it only comes with patience and diligence.

I certainly find this clinic to be very helpful; with caring staff. I have gone to this place over the last few years and have enjoyed working with the therapists there.

It was disheartening to see that C.F was reviewed in such a way as above. I see how he puts a lot of efforts into working with his patients; and often asks if there are any questions or if any exercises are too painful or if the treatment that he is doing is ok. He keeps you very involved in the process.

I have seen C.F pour so much energy into giving his clients the best treatment possible; and I have a lot of respect for him.

All the best my fellow pilgrims on the journey to recovery! This is a place I would recommend. My only reason I did not give 5 stars was that it would be beneficial to have a more spacious gym area so it doesnt feel so cramped. But that is a minor thing. Gotta work with what you got! Also remever that your physiotherapists do that have Xray vision. Be honest in your assessments, and communicate as much as you can.

I have waited 3 weeks since my last appointment at River East Physio. to post this review. After visiting the young physiotherapist C.F. four times, I unfortunately cannot offer a positive review of my experience. I came in with acute and specific knee pain, and was offered all kinds of possibilities for the pain, including C. F. being quite convinced I had sciatic nerve issues (this most definitely is not the cause of my knee pain). The knee had already been given a diagnosis by Dr.s at Pan Am, and at Sports Medicine Clinic (Pacific Ave. - excellent Dr. there btw and I had let C. F. know that the basic diagnosis "Runners Knee" created pain likely though cartilage breakdown, etc). Exercises were quickly swapped out; five for one another five, for an additional five or ten. I realize C. F. was trying, but honestly I never felt actually "listened to" regarding where the pain was, and how it manifested itself. The exercises prescribed often made my pain worse. After being reassured we would "not give up," and that we would "keep trying until we had success," I cancelled the 5th appointment. I would think that someone who promised that they would "not give up" might perhaps have time for a brief follow up phone call after a patent cancelled. Perhaps a "Hey - wondering how you're doing?" or "Is there a reason you have stopped coming?" I realize many practitioners are busy. This place doesn't seem too busy to make a quick follow up call. I am not a natural complainer. However, I do want people to know that if a place doesn't "feel right" or doesn't give you any answers after a few weeks of visits, it's ok to look elsewhere. I have since found another physiotherapist and have had an MRI which shows a horizontal tear in the meniscus as well as cartilage roughness. No sciatic issues.
