  The lobby was quite beautiful and grandeur, staff were friendly enough. Amenities close early on Sunday. The bed was very soft, bathroom could use an update as well. Rooms are quite tiny, since it is an older hotel. They are also very loud. The hallways were noisy throughout the evening there was people knocking on doors (after 1 am), having phone conversations in the hall (~12:30am), and in the morning it was quite disruptive. Sadly the charms of the entrance and an old hotel come at a price. I will say the room was very clean though, and good location.

  The Crystal Ballroom was elegantly decorated for the wedding and reception. The chandelier and wall sconce lighting we're perfect for the mood. The meal was very delicious as well as the dessert. The serving staff were professional and courteous.

  The room we had was great! Of course it's an older building, but the interior and exterior are beautiful. Access to so many amenities. A little pricier, but worth it. In a really great area too, lots of bars, restaurants, the Forks within walking distance. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

  Fort Garry is a beautiful, old landmark hotel in Winnipeg. It is much more unique and beautiful than your standard franchise hotel. The staff were prompt and courteous. The down topped beds, duvets and pillows were simply the MOST comfortable! Room service was easy (just send a text when you need anything) and prompt. Also, I liked that they use large bottles of toiletry amenities - that way there isn't so much plastic packaging waste with every guest. The grand lobby is beautiful and the stately rooms very very welcoming. Excellent place.

  I attended the Fort Garry Hotel's Christmas Dinner on December the 25th with my family. The employees were very professional and were well dressed. They were attentive and were very courteous. The food included in the meal was delicious and were very fresh. They had a gentleman shucking fresh oysters the entire time and he was a pleasure to chat with as he prepared the oysters. The desserts were abundant and absolutely delicious. It was difficult to have one of every dessert as there were so many choices. The hotel was kept very clean and had beautiful architectural designs throughout the entire hotel. The indoor parking was definitely a bonus, as it was -29 degrees that afternoon.
