  Went to l'Bistro for lunch. Great service, and the food was good. We got two small pizzas to share between two of us, and it was plenty of food.

  Very convenient location if you're visiting the Health Sciences Centre (attached) and an absolutely lovely place to stay. Very comfortable, well-maintained, modern rooms and great service.

  And stay away from the shrimp. You can see the shrimp poop right down the center of every shrimps back.

  Attended the l'bistro for a business meeting. The menu is primarily pasta and pizza. I had a starter soup and the entree Cesar salad. The salad was good, though quite large. The soup was nice. Good service. Limited sandwich options which was disappointing.

  I was staying here for two night ahead of an interview in the dental school at the University of Manitoba. The location was great as it was directly connected to the hospital and dental school. Unfortunately, on the second night of my stay there was an armed robbery at the Starbucks in the lobby with a few gunshots fired. Nothing terrible, I knew it was in a bad neighborhood.

  The service of the restaurant is draining slow! The cheese on the pizza is undercooked, while the pasta is never perfect. It's either served undercooked or overcooked.

  Again the service is the slowest I've seen. Whether you want to make an order or simply waiting for a diet Coke, expect to be waiting for a very long time. So it's best to tell your supervisor you're going to be late. Save your money

  Unfortunately the parking lot is across the street. Its not overly inconvenient, but given the sketchiness of the neighborhood I found myself wondering if my rental car would have windows in the morning.

  Meatballs are old, dry and salty. Bread sticks are bland. Lasagna is the smallest dish, almost half other dishes but still full price.

  I would only suggest staying here if you have business in the building.
