Went first thing in the morning to the Leila location to purchase a new set of all-season tires. It wasn't busy so they quoted me it would take approximately 1 hour.

On top of that, after my tire was finally fixed, they lost my wheel lock key. The technician who worked on my car does not know where it is and it's been over a week since they've lost it with no resolution on their end. They offered me a set of wheel lock keys but it's not compatible with my vehicle.

I would normally give this Canadian Tire 5 starts. I do give 5 stars to the guys and gals working at the car parts desk. The parts desk can get busy, but, that means these folks are working hard to find the parts you need all over the country, online for you. I will wait patiently in line, and watch/listen to people grumble that its taking so long. Here is the thing, I've been buying parts here since 1999. These are the same people that have worked here since then. Get the picture "Knowledge" wins when buying car parts for specific cars. These folks do it right. The loss of the 5th star comes from the remainder of the store services. They actually have the worst inventory of items as compared to the other Canadian Tire Stores in Winnipeg.

DO NOT go there to swap your winter/summer tires. They use high torque tools that will damage your studs and they wont take any responsibility for it. Go to any CAA or MPI approved local auto repair shop to swap your tires.

Waited patiently for over 2.5 hours while I watched my vehicle in their service bay not being worked on at all until I finally asked who's actually working on my vehicle.

Don't waste your time. If a hundred bad reviews in a row don't convince you, than my woeful tale won't either. I couldn't even find a good review.

It's funny how they thought the vehicle was "In great shape!" before the RIV inspection, but when I balked at their prices, they found all kinds of things wrong for the Provincial Safety! I had just driven it a thousand miles but all of a sudden, now I need new tires and windshield wipers among $3000 worth of work at their shop prices. NO! You can't post unless you give them one UNDESERVED star. HA HA

The very next day one of the tires was completely flat. Lucky for me I purchased a warranty so they were able to replace it, but only after attempting to get into their shop for 3 consecutive days as they do not take appointments...even though I've been asked by multiple staff members "Did I have an appointment?"

automotive department stole my chrome caps off tire when i got them changed... wonder what they have stole from my truck if i had brought it in. good thing i only brought the tires in store instead of my whole vehicle. they were extremely rude to the point never want to deal with them again the assholes and liars. your last choice i wouldn't even recommend! avoid if you can help it, watch your back if ever do haft deal with these guys

I try to be patient but this is without a doubt the worst service I've ever experienced in an automotive shop.

I find it interesting that Head Office, or whoever's in charge, doesn't care that one of their stores is in the toilet. I understand you have to pick from the job pool available, but when I have to show the employee how to do a mundane task on their own computer, and they can't understand ME, I know I'm in trouble! Also, there's a conflict of interest when Canadian Tire is the only place to get a RIV inspection and they spend the whole time trying to get you to replace EVERYTHING at their amped up prices. The employee didn't know I paid $300 for the inspection. He thought it was free! You don't have to get the work done there, just the inspection.
