  The service was great and personable. I ordered a wreath with very specific flowers. She even went over it with me a few times to make sure this is what I wanted. The design was simple, just two kinds of silk flowers red roses & white carnations and a request for a collar of greenery around the wreath. When I came to pick it up, it was nothing like I ordered. The piece of paper with my instructions was still pinned to it. The wreath included flowers I had not even mentioned ie red carnations, lilies, and a poppy looking flower ? When I asked her why it was different she said she had taken creative license. I told the owner my mother did not like lilies so I would need to remove them. And that I had not ordered red carnations at all !!! In the end due to time constraints I took the wreath anyway. It was not awful, it just was not what I had ordered.

  Initially, I was worried that maybe there was a family emergency or something that took Sonya away from her shop at the last minute. But when I called her on Monday to follow up, she told me they had water in her shop and had to close for repairs. Given that reason, I feel she could have let me know ahead of time so I had at least a little time to look around to see if I could find what I needed somewhere else, or even pick up my order from her on Friday instead.

  I called Sonya because I needed a very specific and important order of flowers for a birthday on Saturday, June 4. I was having trouble getting them from other florists, but she assured me she had them. She seemed very friendly over the phone and we had a great conversation and she knew how important this order was to me.

  We confirmed that I would pick up the flowers on the Saturday. She told me she would be open until 2:30 on Saturday and I told her I would be there by 1:00.

  To my dismay, when I got to her shop, there was a hand written sign on the door stating they would be "closed Saturday, June 4 and re-open on Monday, June 6 at 8:30 am". I called her again and left another message reminding her of the order (hoping she would check her messages or something). In both phone calls I left my phone number.

  Bottom line, I had to go to a different florist (Hi Way Florist on Henderson) where they did their best to accommodate me but it was impossible to get the exact flowers we needed by then. But they did try hard, and I would definitely recommend them now.

  But even more disappointing is that, even though I left two messages for her about these flowers on Saturday, she didn't even bother to call me herself on Monday in order to apologize and explain. I had to call her to find out what happened. And even then, there was no offer to make things right with me and, I felt, only a weak apology given.

  On Saturday morning, I called her shop to confirm the order. There was no answer and I received her answering machine, but there was nothing on the message to indicate that she was closed so I assumed that she was open but busy. I left a message confirming that I would be picking up my order and asking her to call me if there was any change.

  The reason I initially called Sonya when I was having trouble finding the flowers was because she had a couple of good reviews on Google. So I'm posting this so others who read Google can hear my experience.

  What a disappointment of a business. Attempted to get flowers for a funeral and within an hour of Sonya delivering them, they were dead. We cordially explained this to Sonya and were virtually kicked out of her store. Zero concern for what anyone had to say except herself. PLEASE do yourself a favour and never go here. There's another florist within 5-10 minutes on Henderson Highway called Highway Florist, which I would recommend head and shoulders above this poor excuse of an establishment.

  In her defense she did offer to re make it for me...for an increased charge. I declined the offer. I have removed the flowers I did not like myself and added the greenery I wanted myself as well. I would not recommend this florist . I will not be dealing there again nor recommend them to my friends and co-workers.
