The new church-hill section is a fantastic touch, and the indoor Antarctic themed jungle gym is a great place for kids to hang out and play, with super interesting displays and games.

The only real thing that I was personally disappointed in, was the glass polar bear tunnel. Every time I went through it, there were no polar bears swimming around in sight. Besides that, it's a great place to visit for animal lovers, friends and family.

As for the food there, not terribly impressive but they do have some decent sweets and a good amount of concessions around the park.

Parking is free and abundant. Entry is easy and the maps are good. It takes about 2-3 hours to see everything.

Nice place overall, more animals than you'd expect in the city of Winnipeg.

It's a great place to walk around as well to get some mild exercise. Lot's of places to walk around there. For those who don't enjoy walking for too long or have difficulty with it, there is a transportation "bus" that will drive you around the park and drop you off in the area you want to be in.

World class... amazing polar bear exhibit. Watch them play fight and canoodle while you eat some fries in front of the panoramic cafe windows. Money has improved the zoo enormously...too bad the donors have to plaster their names on everything, but I guess generosity comes at a price.

It was an awesome time! A wee bit cold ( i know, its winter lol) but many areas to warm up! Great staff and volunteers with a ton of knowledge to answer any questions...great time! Thank you!!

It's not exactly world class, but it's a very nice zoo. They don't do much in the way of exotic animal (besides the dinosaurs of course). The Journey to Churchill exhibit is pretty neat.

We went here in November so it was quite chilly and not many people. We still really enjoyed it. They have a good variety of animals and the access to each exhibit is easy (almost all are accessible for the disabled, too). We really liked the undersea exhibit with a large plexiglas tunnel that allows you to walk under the water. The harbour seals were fun to watch and would interact with you through the windows. The tiger display allows you to get close to these amazing creatures.
