Watch for ticks. The museum itself is nice. The prairie is ok. However, after taking only have the tour we came back with something like 6 ticks on all of us immediately following. We found one biting on my son's ear later in the day and one biting on my wife's side just before bed time. Be sure to wear light clothing, long pants, tuck in your pants to your socks, and check thoroughly after your visit. The tour guide could use a warning regarding ticks.

One of our favorite places in Manitoba. Gorgeous tall grass prairie, excellent interpretive Centre and wonderful staff. Great for children and adults. Amazing educational programs and special events, including Butterfly Festival in summer, & native Manitoba wildflower sales in spring. Also the best native prairie bookstore in Canada!!

Went there for snow shoes days and no better value than free!! Free rentals on the snow shoes and hot chocolate and treats. It was great to see so many people just enjoying and embracing Canadian winter!

Beautiful Park with natural untouched Prairie in the background who could ask for anything more. Nature at its most natural and educational.
