I love this store, it has a feel about it from the carts, to the layout to the products/prices that make it feel boutique groceries. When I first started going the people there were always friendly, and I actually would go grocery shopping more often buying less at a time. I have usually done the opposite in the past with places like superstore and costco that I dread going to. Today I was there doing self check out and the store was very slow. There was no staff in the customer service area, and there was one cashier working. I attempted to scan an item and it wasn't accepted and it called for help. I waited literally about 5 minutes for somebody to come, at the start I checked some emails waiting for the staff to arrive and then I started to get a little annoyed. I looked around and saw a lady working in the flowers, so I went up to her and she said she cant help me and go to customer service and my response was nobody is there. She then said im sorry you have to go to a cashier. This really pissed me off, there was no apology for the wait, no going out of her way to find somebody to help me, instead she wanted me to take all the groceries I have already scanned in and repack them into my cart and head over the to cashier. I was in around 11am and she was working in the flower department. I hope that a conversation happens with her cause this type of rudeness will make me go to another store. Thankfully another gentleman working stocking some of the shelves came over and helped without being asked. You have a few good things going on right now but there are so holes. If you want to keep me and im gonna assume by my experience, other customers, gonna have to revisit a few things.

Having said all of that - the location is insanely convenient for those of us in Bridgwater, saves 20+ minutes of commuting to the Kenaston commons and back. And the fresh food is all great quality.

Never enough cashiers (usually only 1), causing customers to line up through the too-narrow aisles. There is an excess of staff members encouraging customers to use the self checkout, but these things are very inefficient for buying produce (tap through a dozen screens, then try to figure out which type of the 15 types of bananas you have. Make a mistake? Your screen is locked out for several minutes while you wait for an attendant - one that could be acting as another cashier!). Worst of all is that the self checkouts do not accept a phone number for the club prices. So you have to lug another useless piece of plastic in your already-too-thick wallet, or pay ridiculously high prices (why not just follow Safeway's lead and give everyone the same price?)

My local grocery store. I go here for everything. Prices are sometimes a little higher than average but all in all a decent place. Staff 're very friendly and super helpful.

Small and crowded. More expensive compared to Safeway/Superstore. Produce not fresh as most of it spoiled within days of purchase
