  I think the people who say the staff aren't friendly aren't being fair. I began going there about 5 years ago and did note that the fellow who owns the store was quiet. I would suggest he's shy and introspective and simply isn't a great conversationalist...that is until you get to know him. I have over the years and he's quite nice and extremely knowledgeable about comics and his industry. The guys a walking encyclopedia. So I think people need to lighten up a bit, yes he's quiet and at first can even seem as though he doesn't care about you. Its not the actual fact-he's just shy. Talk to him about comics, the industry and then watch out because he won't let you leave. As for odors etc-I've never noticed it so cannot comment. small store, priced fair and a nice guy. Worth supporting if you ask me and there are some comic stores in Winnipeg not worth supporting because they're arrogant and stupidly high priced. If you know the local comic scene you know the store and owner I'm referring to.

  Been going here for years, best one in the city. James the owner and operator is extremely helpful and genuine. Highly recommended.

  Good selection of books. There's always lot of good stuff to be found in the 50% off boxes, and with regular discounts on new books you can't go wrong. I sold some issues to the owner once and he was very fair.

  Great place. The guy working there knows his stuff about everything he sells. If he doesn't have it or u ask him a question he was iffy on he sits there on a mission to find it for u. Small store with lots in it at good price. Best in winnipeg
