Last week I was looking for a mountain bike. I wanted one that was durable and strong as I am a big guy (6'2", 240lbs). On the Monday I priced one at a competitor and Tuesdays morning I went to Woodcock. I was met by Jacques A. He looked at what I had from the competitor and admitted that it was good option. Further discussion he showed me other options that seemed more appropriate for me. In the end I bought the bike I really wanted. I really appreciated Jacques patience, knowledge and commitment to customer service. As an employee of Manitoba Liquor I can really appreciate customer service as it paramount in my workplace. The customer experience was further enhanced by meeting the owner, Tim Woodcock, whom imparted all kinds of information as well as interesting stories of his experience as a competitive rider. I have to say Woodcock cycle is well entrenched in the community it serves, selling bikes to all ages and family members and employing bilingual staff whom my French Canadian partner really appreciated when she bought a new helmet. This is a business which has a good model and has earned the business of the community it serves.

I’ve been i here twice, both times I came with an idea of what I was looking for, but needed some technical assistance and product knowledge. Both times I was ignored and not helped. When I asked staff about the products I was looking for I was met with blank stares, a useless answer then they disappeared. I would never go back here for anything, there are far better, and friendlier bike stores in town. My advice is go to one of them instead unless you know exactly what you’re looking for and willing to do it yourself. However if that’s the case, save yourself a couple bucks and order the products online instead.

I live way out in British Columbia and order from Woodcock Cycle Works as they are the only Specialized dealer that ships products from online purchases. This was my second order with them, and when there was an issue, they contacted me immediately by email to make me aware of a possible delay. Once all the products arrived in their warehouse, delivery was prompt and in perfect condition. They are making this year's, and hopefully many more, cycling season a fantastic one.

Had not had a bike for 15 years but wanted to get back to cycling. Kelsey and Nic were both awesome in helping explain all my options and setting me up with some bikes to test. Have been back a bunch of times since then for accessories and getting my husband a bike as well.

Thanks guys! Great service, ZERO pressure, just knowledgeable people looking to help you find solid equipment. If you can reach for more than the Canuck Tire special, DO IT!

Kelsey B went to bat for me, after realizing my low price capabilities and the fact my first choice was sold out of even the manufacturer in my size we scoured, she made suggestions, we tried a little of everything.

My wife recently took up cycling in a big way and it turns out the 20 year old Canadian Tire special doesn't hold a candle to a decent road bike. Suddenly I was in need.

Then miracle of miracles with a little boost in what I was willing to spend, not only did they have one, not only was it in stock but it was built and ready for me to test. Love at first ride. I'm a big guy (high 200s) and my legs are not long for my height (5'9"). The bike despite being "small" for me, fits great and I was riding 20km same day!
