  Frankly, dealing with this branch has been absolutely infuriating - their incompetence, rudeness and general unprofessionalism is astounding. The district manager of sales reassured us that everything was taken care of yesterday evening, but today the branch manager told us differently. Both of them were not prompt in returning calls, and the branch manager, Kerry, seemed annoyed to even have to deal with this problem. I had no sense that they cared that they were losing our business.

  I have been a client at TD Canada Trust for over 8 years, but I will be ending my relationship with them in the very near future. I have had two mortgages with them, and recently renewed our existing mortgage with them. My family holds 5 different accounts through this branch, and we exclusively use TD Visa. Up until yesterday afternoon, I would have considered myself to be a very loyal TD customer.

  For the record, the problem was not in our qualifying for a mortgage, but rather TDs ineptitude in understanding the process for funding a mortgage plus build. If you are in the market for a mortgage, run the other way. There are plenty of other lenders who will be happy to have your business.

  We bought a new house in May, and had several meetings with Leanne to discuss financing. Despite giving them plenty of time to arrange a mortgage for us, they still did not have our paperwork ready on time for the possession of our new house. Had we not called 48 hours before we took possession, we never would have even known that there was a problem. When we asked Leeanne why she didn't contact us to let us know that there was a problem, she said it was because she was hoping that it would all sort itself out before our possession date. With less than 36 hours before possession, she still thought she had another 48 hours. We are still left wondering what would have happened had we not called to ask what was happening with our paperwork. Had she notified us when she first understood that there was a problem, this issue could have easily be remedied.
